40 Year Commemorative dagger 32 Battalion
40 Year Commemorative Dagger for 32 Battalion: Having worked with them in Angola during the Bush War this was an honour to be selected as the knife maker for the 40 year dagger.

Set of 32 fighting knives I was commissioned to make for a special forces unit. The set was numbered with their logo etched on the RHS of the blade and my logo on the LHS. All blades were painted with Gunkote.

I am having a lot of fun with this little project! Oryx horn, Mokume and Damasteel steel does it get better? I will be making a set of knives and a “priest” out of this horn. 4 blades and one “priest” More to follow.

This Utility blade was made for an Air Force mate and fellow Chopper Driver Living in Cape Town. Scales are ebony and brass pins.

This is my glue mixing block. White granite block with a glue mix used on the above knife. Note the Ebony sanding dust in the bag, I mix that with the glue so as to get a better colour match of glue and wood. Attention to detail. What it all comes down to in the end?
